Suffolk County
Suffolk County will not be opening any warming centers at this time. However, the DSS Temporary Housing Assistance Unit can be called at 631-854-9547 from 8:30 AM-4:30 PM. After 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, on weekends and holidays, the DSS Emergency Services Unit can be reached at 631-854-9100. If you have any questions or concerns, reach out to Suffolk County by calling their non-emergency number at 311.
The LIVOAD has been in touch with both counties and will continue to update you as information becomes available. To reach the VOAD, simply reply to this email.

Nassau County has opened warming centers today, Friday, January 19th. If additional days or times are added, we will update you. Please see the locations and hours below:
- Cantiague Park Admin Office – 480 W John Street, Hicksville
- Open 9:00am – 4:00pm
- Mitchel Field Admin Building – 1 Charles Lindbergh Boulevard, Uniondale
- Open 24 Hours
- Wantagh Admin Building – 1 King Road, Wantagh
- Open 9:00am – 4:00pm
